Trang An
Eco-Tourism Site is a complex and beautiful landscape, considered an 'outdoor
geological museum because it is entirely surrounded by bow shaped limestone
mountain ranges lying on a delta wetland area.
According to current statistics,
Trang An has 48 grottoes and caves alternating with 31 large and small valleys.
Each valley is a various charming beauty bringing a multi-colorful picturesque
landscape
The entire cave
is home to 50 of Trang An caves connecting 30 small valleys which follow about
10 kilometers from North to South. This is the perfect destination for who
loves nature and discover the magnificent caves of Ninh Binh. Crossing the
caves, we find a forest paradise of stalactites and stalagmites which form,
stimulating the imagination, gave their name to many of these caves: Ba Giot,
Seo, Dia Linh, Nau Ruou, etc
Trang An is
known not only as a scenic destination but also as a sacred place for
Buddhists. Bai Dinh is a complex of pagodas in Vietnam the largest and one of
the most important centers of Buddhism in the country and also the South-East
Asia. It includes the ancient Bai Dinh pagoda and Bai Dinh Pagoda where new
records are set as 12: the bronze bell of 36 tons, the statue of Buddha of 100
tons ...
Here is also the
preservation of 12 historical relics (Trinh Temple, Tran Temple, Khong
Temple...), traces of pre-historic people believed to inhabit here 3,000-30,000
years ago found in Boi and Trong caves, and archeological sites of Hoa Binh and
Da But Cultures at some rock mountains and caves.

The complex is also
an outstanding ecotourism spot with diverse flora and fauna systems, called an
“open-air geological museum” by scientists.
The terrestrial ecosystem has over
600 species of plants including 310 rare ones, 200 species of animals. The
aquatic ecosystem includes more than 30 zooplankton species, 40 zoobenthic
species of which many are rare species, especially striped-neck turtles in need
of urgent protection.
